Day 13 {Temple Square}

We chose the perfect night to walk around the temple grounds and enjoy all of the lights.  It was a warmer night (in the low 40's)  that only required light jackets to stay warm.  We met my sister's family and walked around the grounds and made our way to the life size nativity.   Mia and Griffin are at the perfect age for these activities.  They are just starting to understand the true meaning of Christmas and love to talk about baby Jesus.  Mom, did you know baby Jesus isn't a baby anymore.  Christmas is Jesus' Birthday.  Mary and Joseph made hay and put it in the manger for their baby.  They loved seeing the wise men on their camels, the shepherds and Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.

We spent some time inside the Visitor's Center learning more about Jesus Christ and His life.  We saw the Christus statue, watched the Luke 2 movie and checked out all of the paintings depicting the life and teachings of Christ.

Glad it was such a beautiful evening for you. Our experience was more of a quick look in very cold weather.
