Looking good!

We left Hadley in charge of Morgan (I know . . . my fault) while we went to Jack's football game and this is what we came home to --

I don't know if the pictures do this new haircut justice. But she had pigtails and got into my bathroom and somehow got the scissors and cut all of her bangs and top portion of her hair off to almost a buzz length.

This is not the first time Morgan has decided to cut her hair. She seems to get a hold of scissors several times a year (even when I always try to make sure there aren't any in reach) and usually likes to cut her bangs, but this time was a little more extreme. The ironic thing is that on our way home from the football game I told Gavin it was time to schedule our family picture. Maybe we will have to postpone that picture for another year!

Here are some highlight photos of last year's styles from 'Salon Morgan'

Whoa! I have to know, was she proud of her new 'do'? And what did Hadley say? :)

I still can't believe that out of my 6, not one has taken to cut their own hair....

When we walked in the door from the football game, Hadley said, "I guess I didn't watch Morgan very well. She got in mom's bathroom and cut all her hair off." Then when we saw Morgan she had a big smile and said, "See!" Then she got mad when we told her that her haircut didn't look very cute now. She turned her head away from me and said, "Stop it, mommy!"

Luckily my kids have never cut their hair, however a couple of nights ago I walked by our toy room and saw Grace jump so I stoped and looked in and saw scissors in her hand and Sarah sitting ever so nicely in front of her. I asked Grace if she cut Sarah's hair and she replied with a hesitant yes. Luckily she had just cut a little off the bottom, which Sarah has kind of a mullet anyway so, maybe it was for the best.

Hey-hey!! What a (sassy) cutie! At least she took pride in it, eh? I remember Anna coloring all over herself w/a permanent marker and then becoming very upset when it didn't come off!

After your description of Morgan's "new do" yesterday I was hoping you would post a photo. And to see the past haircuts as well is even better. Oh, Morgan will just LOVE to look at that when she's older. Do they still make those haircut dolls? Maybe she could practice on them instead of herself. She seems to have a real passion for hairdressing!

How fun to see all the haircuts - I noticed a trend with all of them! Bangs are so over-rated right now anyway. Who wants to look like everyone else - I admire her nerve to be a trend-setter, not a trend-follower.

Man oh man - she has a career ahead of her, Heather :) Brady thinks cutting is far too much work, so I'd be surprised if he took scissors to his hair anytime soon - but - 2 or 3 of my others have - with disasterous results.

Morgan is a dolly and I didn't even know she'd cut her hair in the first few posts - until I got here! Her new "doo" is cute!!!
