10 months already?

My sweet little Mimi

You have grown up so much in these past few months, busy discovering so many new things. You are now crawling everywhere and just today discovered the stairs and showed interest in falling down them. You are able to pull yourself up to a standing position and love to pull yourself up to me wherever I am. Your sleeping habits prove that you are our last little one--very spoiled even in the middle of the night. We finally moved you into the big crib out of our room this month. It is still an ongoing process. You still like to wake up several times in the night and we are trying to break that habit by letting you cry it out. It was the sweetest thing though to go in your room the other night when you were crying and find you standing up in your crib like a big girl (even though you didn't know how to get back down). You are a great eater and yell whenever someone is eating and not offering some to you. You love to wave bye-bye and night-night and just learned how to wave with opening and closing your hand. You are trying more and more to 'talk' to us and mostly say ma-ma all day. You are still a great nurser and haven't wanted anything to do with a bottle these past few weeks. All these new milestones make me realize that my little baby is growing up very quickly . I love that you still adore me and always want me near! I hope that bond remains strong throughout our lives!
I love you, Mia!
Mom

Heidi-
Wow! Aren't you picky? Get on your glasses and look closely and you can see the letters! I just need to change my background again. This cute blog stuff is so over-rated!

I love your monthly blog changes! I would copy but kennedy isn't home enough to help me do it! But seriously, I am almost 40 and I can't read that post! Have pity on us old folks!

OK Heidi I changed the background. Hopefully it is easier to read now. But now I feel like I need to write something more profound after all this waiting and anticipation.

You are an amazing Mom. You made me cry. Don't you feel like you blink and they grow up. Gorgeous family and fun blog!

Heather... I just noticed your post as I was going through to gather e-mail addresses as we are going private. I just viewed your post and you have the most darling family and your little girl with Down's is beautiful. I love meeting other families that have kids with Down's, makes you feel like your not alone in the journey. Where in SLC do you live? I live in Ogden. I would love to meet you sometime or get to know your better via e-mail. There aren't alot of families in our area with Down's kids and I really want to get involved with some. My e-mail address is tbdingman@comcast.net. Let me know yours so I can put it on our private blog. Thanks for posting and seeing my family.

Oh I miss Mia and all the kids even more now that I am finally on a computer. We get home from Florida on Saturday and I can't wait to see all of you.
I loved the picture of Mia but then I don't think she can take a bad picture!

You have a very nice looking family. Large families are wonderful and great for our kids with Down syndrome. We have 5 with our youngest (3 months) having Down syndrome.

Thanks for stoppping by my blog--nice to "meet" you. Your family is beautiful. I'm glad to meet someone else with a child with DS. I know one other family with a child with DS, but they live in another state.

And, yes, time flies by so fast. My oldest is 21 and it seems like he was just a newborn.
